Our Vision is; Togetherness and Peace in the Community.

Songo is a word taken from the African pigmy language which generally means peace. The Pigmies are a group of people who live along the equatorial forest of Africa. They live a natural life respecting each other and nature and try they to be in peace at all times.

Our Aim is to use drumming and dancing to bring togetherness and peace to the community which will result in integration and cohesion amongst the people of Leeds and UK at large.

We believe that through drumming, singing and dancing, we can promote interculturalism, racial justice and equality. We are positive that through our entertainment, we will bring people together to live in harmony and as a result create opportunity for understanding and building a stronger and safer community.
